Created in the 1920s by Jules Molin, the authentic French Glouglou has been manufactured to the same design for over a century.
OUR FRENCH VERSION
Handcrafted in Charolles, Burgundy, in our workshop founded in 1844 and labeled Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, the Glouglou embodies the permanence of unique French artisanal know-how.
The process begins by pouring liquid earthenware into a plaster mold, a traditional technique that allows for precise shapes while maintaining great freedom of design.

At once a decorative object, a vase and a pitcher, it seduces with its clean lines and the unique sound it makes when water is poured.
A NOISE...
The sound of the Glouglou pitcher has been distinctive since its creation. This playful gurgling comes from the air rushing into the carafe at the end of the pouring process. More than just an effect, this sound is an integral part of the experience and charm of the object.
BETWEEN MEMORY AND CREATION
The Glouglou exemplifies what the Faïencerie de Charolles has championed for over a century: a dialogue between heritage and invention, between artisanal tradition and modern techniques. Thanks to the founding vision of Hypolyte Prost and the creativity that still drives the workshops, this unique carafe continues to surprise, seduce—and make people smile.
