Clapot Lamp

We invited cabinetmaker designer Baptiste Lanne to highlight the gesture through his gouge work which forms the singularity of this lamp, like a reflection on the water. The CLAPOT lamp is the result of a collaboration between two crafts: cabinetmaking and our know-how in earthenware.

“The contrast between smooth surfaces and those sculpted with gouge constitutes the basis of my work, the common character of the organic, naive and poetic forms that I create. It is a language in its own right allowing me to enhance the intervention of the hand, the singularity of each piece and through the play of textures, the light itself. Nature is without a doubt my first source of inspiration. Barks, shells, scales, body of water rippled by the wind. I imagine my pieces as reminiscences of these different forms of life. This is really what drives me: summoning the imagination and bringing nature into our living spaces. » B.Lanne
